4/29/2024 0 Comments Fl studio 12 save project demo![]() No, the FLV player is just a media player for your browser - ie. (You may also want to choose to install the Asio4all drivers, if your sound card/audio device doesn't come with it's own Asio drivers). You just need to choose your VST folder when it asks for it. If you are unsure of what to select, you will most likely be fine just leaving the default selections. The online version is just a single file that you double click to begin. Here's mine Įdit: FL is very easy to install. You can also save a further 10% if you use an affiliate link to buy FL online. And you miss out on free updates with the boxed version, unless you pay extra. The online manual is more likely to be up to date than any printed manual. I'm not sure if it still ships with a printed manual, but IMO there's no advantage in buying the boxed version. You can burn the installer to a CD, or DVD, or save it on a usb stick if you want a backup. Also, a store bought, boxed version of FL will cost more than a direct download from Image-Line. The boxed version will not allow you to access the free lifetime updates, unless you pay an extra $30 (it may be more now, not sure). I would recommend buying the download version of FL. which is really no different than just saving the flp and project data files separately in the first place. But zips take longer to load and to save, so I usually extract them to a folder anyway. That gathers all the samples, patches and flp into one handy. You could save your projects as a zipped loop package if you prefer. So, if you save the project file (.flp) and the associated samples (File > Export > project data files) to your new PC and move or copy all your plugins, you should be good to go. And so long as you set your VST extra search folder (in Options > File settings) to point to where you have your VSTs (plugins), FL should have no problem finding them. But it's only happened to me twice in 10 years and I've moved files and switched PCs many times. The only time I have ever had a problem doing things this way is if I had 2 different samples that happened to have the same name (FL may load the wrong one in that case). But you can put them anywhere, so long as you set the "Browser extra search folders" in Options > File settings to point to the folders where you have your samples etc. flp and all the samples, sounfonts etc in the same folder (or a folder with subfolders for samples etc), FL will find them. It's not entirely necessary to make the folder structure identical though. is it possible to run the boxed version without EVER having to expose the progam itself to the internet?.does the boxed version come with a "physical" user manual?Īs Mr A says, you need the project file (flp), samples and the same plugins on your new pc, to open your older projects successfully. which version is easier to install/deal with- for a clueless noob such as myself? i will say that i am not computer savvy at all and I HATE running the internet on my music computer(using wife's right now).unless i need to update or download sounds and when I'm done, i unplug the internet cable. how do we go about "swapping" projects back and forth so we can both work on them on our own time?Īny links or vids out there that can better educate myself?Īlso, what are the pros and cons of buying/using a boxed copy of FL (from guitar center, i have about 200$ of in-store credit) vs downloading it online?. ![]() I'm about to purchase FL9 and my keyboardist is buying it for himself as well. to a disk? to run them on another computer running FL? or just to cover my *** in case my computer is stolen, explodes. i bought my computer from a friend that already had everything set up and ready to go. i have no idea what to do, what needs to be saved/moved, or even the slightest idea were to start. I have some old projects that i would like to re-work in fl9. I need some insight on the subject of saving and transferring projects, or what ever i need, to the new version without replacing the old version (fl5 to Fl9. Someone just posted a question similar to mine but what i need to know is a little more basic.
